At KU, Camille balanced out her technical classwork and many hours in the library with activities outside the engineering school. She lived in the scholarship halls all four years where she participated in Schol Hall Olympics, intramurals, secret snowflake and the big sis/little sis program. The KU rock climbing club kept her Fall and Spring weekends full of trips to Arkansas, and spring break provided an adventure to Utah and Nevada to climb “real rocks”. Freshman year, Camille could be found working as the director of the birthday party program at a local gymnastics facility every Saturday where she perfected her cake cutting skills, ability to function around screaming children, and discovered an interest in business. Camille spent a summer as a peer advisor at KU orientation and by junior and senior year, if you couldn’t find Camille in the classroom or the library she was most likely in 126 Strong, The Undergraduate Advising Center, working with students or attempting to explain FERPA to parents. Her work with the IPSR department branched into work with the KC STEM Alliance which became an incredibly beneficial resource for the Alpine Projekt.
Camille currently works for CRB in Kansas City, MO as a process engineer working on biotech facilities. She is a member of ISPE and donates time as needed to the SELF program.
After living in student housing for four years, Camille had some work to do to get her personal kitchen up to par with her love for cooking. A craigslist buy, a free crockpot from a friend and a couple choice Amazon purchases later it is finally complete…for now. Camille is always ready for an outdoor adventure (as long as it doesn’t require freezing or 8 layers of clothing) and still spends many weekends travelling to rock climb with her sister.
